Celebrity barman Okechukwu Pascal, popularly known as Cubana Chiefpriest, has taken a swipe at the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, over what he described as a deleted early-morning message from the lawmaker.

Pulse247 earlier reported that Cubana Chiefpriest criticised President Bola Tinubu following the life imprisonment handed to the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, warning that the president should forget about getting votes from the Southeast in 2027.

In a fresh Instagram post, the businessman said he woke up to see a message allegedly sent to him by Kalu at 7:08 a.m., which was later deleted. He claimed he initially panicked but later realised he had nothing to fear.

According to him, any attempt by the Deputy Speaker to “come after him” would attract divine consequences.

“Woke Up To See That The Deputy Speaker Wrote Me By 7:08 Am & Then Deleted It. I’m Worried, I’m Scared, I’m Shivering But Yet I’m Fearless Because I Know My Name Is Chibuike !!! Sir If You Come For Me God Will Embarrass You, Just Face Your Work & Do It Well, If I Was To Be Deputy Speaker I Will Do Better Than You. I Relocated To Lagos Because Of MNK Detention, Till Tomorrow My Son Donald Keep Saying I Miss Owerri & He Is So Excited We Are Going Next Month.

Cubana Chiefpriest said his frustrations are rooted in the prolonged detention and recent conviction of Kanu, which he claims has crippled the Southeast economically and forced him to relocate to Lagos.

He lamented that he had been unable to visit his country home for years due to insecurity and the socioeconomic fallout from Kanu’s detention.

“I Built A Country Home In My Village Since Six Years Ago I Was Just Able To Visit There Two Weeks Ago To Meet My People In Poverty After Five Years Because Of The Detention Of MNK, Businesses In Southeast Crashed And Thats Where I Have My Major Investments & Peace Of Mind. I’m Wounded Already I’m In Pain E No Get Wetin You Wan Do Me Wey Go Pass The Pain Inflicted Already.

The nightlife promoter urged Kalu to use his position to unite Southeast leaders and work toward restoring peace in the region. He argued that, if properly addressed, the same influence Kalu uses to present himself stylishly in public should be used to “package the Southeast” and facilitate development.

He also warned that after Kalu’s tenure, he would face public judgment from his own people if he fails to deliver meaningful change.

“I Miss Home, If I Was In Your Position I Will Fix Southeast I Will Unite Governors, I Will Summon Ministers, I Will Assemble The Whole Elites & I Will Secure Peace For Our SouthEast. That Same Way Wey You Dey Take Dress Well On Our Igbo Attire, Dress Our SouthEast Well Like That, That Same Way Wey You Dey Take Package Your Convoy, Package Our Southeast Well Like That. You Are A Very Smart, Stylish, Young & Clean Guy Please Apply That To Your Governance. Remove Your Eye From Party Politics & Save SouthEast.

Cubana Chiefpriest insisted his outburst was not an attack but a wake-up call to Kalu to prioritise the region.

“Time Is Going We Go Soon Meet For Street After Your Tenure If You No Change Your Way & We Go Remember For You Say You Once Had Opportunity But You Did Not Achieve Anything For Us. Use Your Position To Bring Peace To Southeast We Go Use Our Hand Make You Governor, The Only Way Is To Let MNK Come Home To Fix What He Spoilt By Himself. I Love You, No Vex For Me Baba I Dey Vex I Wan Go My Village Go Do My Own Detty December, Lagos Wey Dey Dry For Dec. Before Na Him Dey Bubble Now For December.

“Dem No Born Us For Lagos We Have A Home. What Is Southeast Development Commission When We Can’t Go Home. No Fight Me Oh !!! I Be Your Boy, I Love You & You Know That It’s Just A Wake Up Call Sir No Be Insult Because No Be You Get Nigeria Na We Put You There So We Suppose Dey Ginger You. To Whom Much Is Given Much Is Expected.”
