The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has once again reduced the price of the premium motor spirit.
Pulse247 correspondent, who visited some fuel stations on Monday morning, confirmed that NNPCL retail outlets have reduced their fuel price to ₦815 per liter from the ₦835 price it was selling at before.
This development shows that the NNPCL filling stations have reduced their price by ₦20.
The fresh price has been implemented at NNPCL filling stations various locations in the country.
An NNPCL filling station attendant, who didn't want to be mentioned, informed Pulse247 that the new price was implemented on Sunday evening.
However, the ₦815 per liter price of the NNPCL is still ₦79 higher than the ₦739 per liter sold at Dangote Refinery’s backed MRS filling stations across the nation.
ThePulse recalls that NNPCL on December 19, 2025, cut its price of petrol by ₦80 to ₦835 amid a price war among players in the country’s oil downstream sector triggered by Dangote Refinery’s gantry price reduction to ₦699 per liter.
