The national leadership of the City Boy Movement (CBM) has reiterated that Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, remains the duly recognised Director of the movement in Imo State.
The clarification was contained in a statement issued Tuesday in Abuja by the CBM Director-General, Francis Shoga, who dismissed reports alleging an internal plan to review or reverse Okechukwu’s appointment. He described such claims as false and misleading.
Shoga emphasised that Okechukwu is the only officially appointed and acknowledged representative of the movement in Imo State, stressing that no fresh appointment has been sanctioned or ratified.
He further stated that speculations about parallel leadership structures, withdrawal of appointments, or internal rifts do not represent the organisation’s official position.
According to him, the movement adheres strictly to laid-down procedures and due process in managing appointments and overseeing its state chapters. Any legitimate decision regarding leadership roles, he said, would be communicated through authorised channels only.
“The City Boy Movement remains a structured and disciplined organisation. Any ambiguity arising from recent correspondence is a ploy to discredit the integrity of the group.
“All our members remain united under a common objective of strengthening grassroots mobilisation and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
”Our focus remains unwavering; mobilising support, consolidating grassroots structures, and delivering on our mandate in support of President Bola Tinubu’s vision for national development,” he said.
Shoga called on members and the general public to disregard unverified reports capable of causing confusion within the movement, while reaffirming the CBM’s dedication to unity, transparency, and organisational discipline across its structures nationwide.
